Due to environmental factors both externally and internally of your property, certain surfaces are susceptible to organic infections and growth, which can cause discolouration, noticeable staining, damage to the surface (e.g. paint), and also pose a potential health/safety hazard (e.g. mould inside your property). This is particularly noticeable on surfaces such as concrete, render and wood, where over time the organic infection, e.g. moss, algae, lichen and mould, can penetrate the surface and multiply and is obvious as the surface becomes green, black or has black/white spots which are difficult to remove.

The traditional solution to this problem is power washing (pressure washer) to clean the surface, however the results intitally look great but after time the organic infection comes back because it hasn't been removed completely, also such aggressive methods as pressure washing can also damage the surface e.g. concrete making it more porous and thus it's more suspeticable to these organic infections in the future, additionally such methods aren't very environmentally friendly due to water consumption, are quite noisey and pose a potential flooding risk if drainage isn't sufficient. If the affected surface is inside of your property, e.g. a wall, then cleaning it requires a totally different method from external cleaning. 

Fortunently there is a better solution to restoring your internal and external surface, it's a process known as softwashing which originated in the U.S that will remove the organic infectants and bring the surface back to its former glory, using bespoke low pressure equipment which include soft agitation brushes and sprayers to apply the softwash solution without any surface damage, areas that are high up can be reach with adjustable poles working from the ground safely. Furthermore, an additional preventative solution can also be applied to aid and stop the recurrence, and if the surface was previously painted e.g. an internal wall with mould, it can be repainted.
