Fencing is open to the elements, and over a period of time, it deteriorates, making it look dull and dirty. This is often caused by weathering, traffic film and organic matter build-up such as moss, lichen and mould, etc. Leaving any fencing in such a condition will ultimately shorten its lifespan, which can be very costly in the long-term as fencing is a considerable investment to your property. 

There is a simple solution to this, which is to clean the fencing regularly. Two main methods can be used to clean your fencing, depending on the condition. Firstly, softwashing, which is a gentle process and removes build-up of dirt and organic matter, and on rare occasions, the use of a pressure washer may be necessary. After cleaning it's preferable to apply a coat of fence paint in a colour of your choosing, ideally to both sides, in order to preserve the longevity of the fence for the future.
